Deepak and Oprah 21-Day Meditation Experience: Manifesting True Success

Mark your calendars positive people, the Deepak & Oprah 21-Day Meditation Challenge we’ve all been waiting for starts again in a week!

I have been looking forward to this for the past 3 months… pretty much since the last one ended because it is such a mind-clearing, stress-relieving, uplifting miraculous experience every time.

The focus for this series is Manifesting True Success, which touches on letting go of limiting beliefs and discovering that within yourself your successes can be infinite.  Yaaas!

How does it work?

You will receive an email every day for 21 days which will include a meditation and a daily written message introducing you to the day’s intention. This is a guided meditation with music which means that Deepak and Oprah will help you focus and center your thoughts on the meditation for the first couple of minutes before sending you into a state of peaceful meditation bliss (and just music).

Want to sign up?  You can join for FREE using this link.

It is only available for free about about 30 days total and each day locks after a 2 days.  So take advantage of it unless you want to pay $50+ like the previous series pictured below (which is totally worth it by the way!)

Have you ever done an Oprah & Deepak Meditation challenge before? Do you meditate regularly?  Are you joining?  I would love to hear you comments below.

MORROCCO METHOD WEEK 5: Earth Essence SHAMPOO + FLOATING LOTUS CONDITIONER (W/ PROMO CODE)

This is the final week of my 5-week review of the Morrocco Method (MM) rotation.  It’s been and amazing journey  and I’m happy to say I have already place my next order…which should be arriving soon.

For this final week I used the Earth Essence Shampoo*, which is meant for normal to oily hair types (my hair is on the extremely dry side) + I used the Floating Lotus Conditioner* which is my absolute favorite conditioner.

Here are my results:

morrocco method reviews - relaxer free hair

First thing I noticed is that my hair has grown quite a  bit and it needs a serious trim.  It hasn’t been growing in a while! so I am VERY happy about that…  I love long hair.  I feel like words are pointless at this stage.  I am obviously never going back to anything short of natural and organic and Morrocco Method is clearly my top choice.

I have gotten a hair trim since these pictures and I’m waiting on the spring equinox for perhaps get some layers.

What do you guys think of this 5 weeks review? If you have purchased MM after reading my review I would love to hear about it in the comments, and if you have any questions about switching over let me know also.

By the way, Morrocco Method has kindly extended my promo code, and  new customers can get 15% total order until the end of the month with  promo code: LUCKY710.

A Little Dominican Bakery in the Bronx

For the past week I have been stopping in this little bakery on my way home for a piece of their coco-piña, which is a coconut-pineapple flavored loaf cake…and it is ah-amazing!

But that’s not all the goods they have so I thought to give you guys a little peek into what kind of sweets you can get at a Dominican bakery.

Dominican Bakery in the bronx

Below is the picture of the coco-piña…yep it’s only $1! and next to it is a quesillo de fresa  {strawberry cheese cake}.

coco - pina - coco piña - cake - bizcocho - loaf cake

Below is typical birthday cake and every Dominican person gets a one of these on their birthday regardless of their age…

The cake texture is very ‘airy’ and somewhat moist but not saggy or wet and it melts in your mouth. If you get it from a bad place it can sometimes be too dry or too sweet.  Visually it looks like a tacky looking wedding cake with white suspiro {frosting} and flowers and ribbons decorations but if you ever get a chance to try it is probably the best cake you’ll ever have.   It almost always has a guava, pineapple or dulce de leche filling in the middle which makes it even more decadent and delicious.

Here is a picture of one of my favorite desserts pudín de pan {bread pudding}.  The texture is harder than usual and the flavor is different. I personally prefer the more moist kind but this one is very good.

The pineapple upside down cake is not Dominican but it is staple in every  bakery.

Here are other things you can get…

chocolate cake - dominican bakery

And of course there is different kinds of bread…

This bakery sells pastelitos de queso {cheese empandas, we call empanadas pastelitos} and tostada Dominicana {cheese and butter on toasted pan de agua}.

They also have different tropical juices including tamarind, passion fruit, guava and others which is similar but a sweeter version of the Mexican agua fresca.

So there you have it, now  whenever you see this sign feel free to walk in…

Morrocco Method Week 4: Pine Shale Shampoo + Floating Lotus Conditioner (w/ Promo Code)

Hey lovies,  I can’t believe I’m on my fourth week of my 5-week review of the Morrocco Method (MM) rotation for natural (relaxer-free) hair and all I can say is that I’m truly in love with this product.  From the ingredients to the performance it is perfection in a bottle.  I feel so good and confident recommending it and showing my results.

This week I used the Pine Shale Shampoo*, with pine shale oil which calms irritation and it’s good for dandruff/flakes, itchiness and dryness + I used the Floating Lotus Conditioner* which is my absolute favorite conditioner ever made.  I received my conditioner travel set last week and I loved the sapphire volumizer conditioner* which I used as a leave in conditioner and then followed steps 4-7 from week one.  Please be sure to read my previous posts for proper use of the product.

Don’t forget new customers can get 15% total order until 3/4.  Use promo code: LUCKY710.

Please remember that these products will not foam but  you don’t have to worry that your hair will not be clean.  If you see my hair it doesn’t look dirty or clogged up (because it isn’t).  My scalp looks incredibly healthy and my hair has this beautiful natural sheen which I enhanced with a few drops of the Euro Natural Oil Conditioner and Moisturizer*.

I also noticed my hair is growing a little, unevenly but non the less it is growing a little faster than usual.  My hair has been growing so slowly since I went natural and I feel so impatient about it.

Clearly I need a trim but I’m waiting for a full moon and/or the spring equinox as recommended by the MM  lunar calendar for maximum growth.  Let’s see if that works.

What do you guys think? Are you ready to toss hair products with toxic ingredients and exchange it for all natural, raw food for your hair?

If you started using Morrocco Method products after reading my review I would love to hear about your experience with it, please a comment below.

Morrocco Method Week 3: Heavenly Essence Shampoo + Floating Lotus Conditioner (W/ PROMO CODE)

It’s not a secret that I am beyond thrilled with Morrocco Method hair products for the awesome results I’m getting on my natural (non-relaxed) hair.  I mean, what is not to love when there isn’t a single toxic ingredient in any of their products.  It is raw, natural, wild-crafted vegan food goodness to feed your hair.

For the third week I used the Heavenly Shampoo and Floating Lotus Conditioner  combination from the sample packs which delivered shiny, full and healthy hair.  You can use promo code LUCKY710 for 15% off your order.

This was the teaser last Sunday and it looks like you guys liked it too:

My Week 3 MM Routine

  1. Started with a homemade aloe vera mask – removed the gel straight from the leaf and put it on a blender until it became a foamy liquid.  I then applied the mask on my hair and left it on 15-20 minutes. I do this every time but it is not a necessary step.  Most the MM shampoo and conditioners already have aloe vera in it.
  2. Used the Heavenly Essence Shampoo diluted with equal parts water as recommended.  It’s hard to describe the scent beyond just earthy but it smells very good and a little different than the other shampoos.  The texture is the same as the others, a thick brown texture.  After the wash my hair wasn’t soft but softer than my normal texture.  Although these shampoos do not foam my hair felt clean.
  3. Used the Floating Lotus Moisturizer,  and as I mentioned on week one, I loved this one. My hair looked moisturized and shiny instantly.
  4. Followed steps 4-7 from week one.

These were my results: Morrocco Method Review - Promo Code - Lucky710 - healthy hair - natural hair - vegan hair - paleo hair - dominican hair

One thing you might notice right away is that I need to clip those ends (like, yesterday).  My hair is finally growing and you can see that it looks very uneven.  So why haven’t I cut it?  MM has lunar calendar with the best dates to get a haircut for lengthening. The next one is from March 17th -19th during the Spring Equinox so I will be waiting almost A MONTH so that I can give this a try, sigh.  The good thing is that you will be able to see if it actually works by coming back to check my blog.

So what do you think?  If you want to see what happens during this 5-week try out, you can check my instagram on Sundays for a sneak peak and then come back to the blog on Thursday  a week later for the full details.  Each week I will be rotating shampoos and posting results of my shampoo/conditioner combination.  I have 2 more weeks to go.
