New Years’s Eve is quickly approaching and as I prepare for the festivities the first thing on my mind is what will I wear?
I tend to buy outfits for NYE and other events that end up sitting in my closet and I never ever wear them again. This year I will be taking a different approach and go for a dress I normally wouldn’t allow myself to splurge on. I will be renting a stunning designer dress from Rent The Runway for a fraction of its cost.
As I browsed through the Rent The Runway dress selection, I thought to share with you some of the gorgeous dresses I found along with 20% off on your order of $50 with promo code: HAPPY2015. The code can be used when you shop between 12/10-12/21, choose a rental start date between 12/26-12/31.
And here are my dress/outfit picks for New Year’s Eve Celebration:
Be the Belle of the Ball: Badgley Mischka Windswept Skirt – $75.00
& Gold Dust Top – $65.00
So Bright. So Right: Slate & Willow Aileen Dress – $50.00
Foxy Freak of Nature: BCBG MAX AZRIA Nothing To Hide Gown – $60.00
Booty-Boom Glam: Nicole Miller Noir Lace Cocktail Dress – $35.00
ShowStoppa: Herve Leger Tribal Bandage Dress – $200.00
GlitterBomb of Glory: TIBI Confetti Sequins Dress – $40.00
So Sassy: Robert Rodriguez Collection Cap Sleeve Swirl Mini – $50.00
Along with New York Fashion Week comes all the fun, glam and glitz. I’m not much of a fashionista but I love watching the replays of my favorite designers for inspiration or going through the Instagram and Twitter #NYFW feeds, but my favorite thing has to be getting pampered at all the awesome beauty lounges and fun events happening through-out the city.
In the absence of Fashion Night Out we still had some pretty amazing events this year and here are the few that indulged in…
Monday morning I sneaked out to lunch a little early so I can get in on the fun. I stopped by the boutique hotel Washington Jefferson, part of the Triumph Hotel Group to get a little pampering. The ladies from City Mani did this beautiful design using Pretty Please metallic gold and raspberry nail polish colors.
PS I have my eyes on this gorgeous pastel blue for the winter.
On Thursday I also checked out this Rent The Runway event featuring fashion tips, hair styling from Toni & Guy, manicures from ManiCube and of course we were served some vino and really delicious Sprinkles Cupcakes.
I missed the goody bag or any of the beauty styling as I was too busy chatting up my new friend Kuda, whom I brought with me to the next event Relax, Renew & Recharge with INGLOT & AT&T hosted by the Digital Sorority ladies.
This girls are so much fun and actually had so many great giveaways and a pretty big goody bag as well. I was very impressed with Angela’s Hair Studio styling, everyone was looking great. Check out the video below to see all the beautiful hair.
That’s all for my mini Fashion Week beauty lounge adventure…until next year.
